Merry Christmas
It is great to have a couple of minutes to update everyone and reflect on what has been going on with our family for the last year. We are in excited about this time of year. I love getting out all my Christmas decorations. Many emotions surface as I remember past Christmases in San Angelo. I hung my advent garland and remembered the sweet time I had making it with some very special friends. We put up the tree, and remember the first Christmas John and I had together as a married couple. We have been blessed more than we deserve.
The past 6 months have been a season of change and new friendships. We are excited to be apart of a wonderful church family at FBC Justin. The worship is contemporary and the word of God is fresh every week. The church is friendly and sincere. We have been blessed to be apart of a couples Sunday School class and have made good friends quickly. I was able to attend "Apples of Gold," a Titus study, for 6 weeks. I met many women old and young that love the Lord and are eager to encourage others.
I am busy at home being a "Professional Homemaker!" I looked for a prn job here and had many opportunities but realized that God wanted me to be at home full time. It has been a hard transition, leaving the work I love so much. I know that it is God's will for now.
John is busy! He is taking classes and joined a research group in September. He is working well with his team and learning "the ropes." I think he has made an "A" on every test he has taken. It amazes me how smart he is. He is balancing school, research group, family, and LIFE! He is an inspiration to me!
Ethan is such a blessing. He is a servant and learning how to help others in need. He lost his first tooth in November. He was so excited and I wanted to cry! It means he is growing up. He is doing wonderful in his homeschooling. We are teaching Abeka Phonics/Reading, Math U See, Handwriting without Tears, Science, and Bible. He is reading like a champ and I still am in awe at how fast he picked it up. He loves his math and has completed the first book. We have been using our Awana book for scripture memory and he can get them memorized usually before I can. I allow him to move at his own pace and it has worked well.
Andrew.... Oh my little man.... He is full of energy and wants to climb on anything and everything! He still has his curls and that sweet smile. He talks all the time and repeats everything you say. He loves playing at the park and playing Hide-n-Seek with Ethan. He loves "Go Dog Go," and "Barnyard Dance." He melts our hearts and keeps us on our toes!
I pray that you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!
Love,
John, Heather, Ethan and Andrew Beatty
