John and I have been saving money back to get some landscaping done. We had some bushes that died in the front and back. We also had some cactus that were not kid friendly that we got rid of. Steele Landscaping did an awesome job. I am now learning a lot more about plants and how to care for them. I am excited about how the plants will grow and look even better.

Mom and Dad

Ethan and I went to visit Meme and Pepper last week. We got to spend some time hanging out with Paige and Landri too. We had planned to go to the Ft Worth Zoo but school kids were doing field trips so we decided against that. The kids played and played. We got to eat lunch with Pepper at the arena. The kids love seening the horses up close. I got a picture of them by one of the saddles they made. This saddle is fancy and so beautiful. They are so talented!

John's Birthday

We celebrated John's birthday this weekend. I took off on Saturday and we went to the Sonora Caverns. We have been interested in going for a while and this was the perfect opportunity. We got there and I was a little anxious about taking Ethan in because I didn't know how he would do with not touching and listening to the guide. It was a 2 hour tour and about a 2 mile walk. John convinced me that he would be fine. I was so impressed with his behavior. He listened and didn't touch one stalactite or stalagmite! He can now say both of those words! Oh, they had peacocks to! Ethan thought that was so cool because we have only seen them in books! I had brought a picnic lunch with us and luckily they had great picnic tables and everything turned out perfect.

We came home and all had a really great nap then celebrated with an ice cream cake!(John's favorite) I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband! Happy Birthday John!

Summer Movie Club

Ethan and I finally went to see the Oceans documentary last week. While I was paying I noticed they were going to have a movie club this summer. They will be showing 10 movies for $5/ person. That's cheap. Although some of the movies will not be appropriate for him, we may try to catch a few. They start in June and run through August. Check out the link.

Sprinkler

Well, we did it. Ethan put on his bathing suit yesterday and played in the sprinkler. It was so hot outside yesterday afternoon. He had a blast. Pickles always plays with him, she loves the sprinkler too! He played so hard that he passed out in my arms at 7:30pm last night. I thought he would be up at 5am due to falling asleep so early, but he woke up at 7am refreshed and ready to go. I guess he is ready for summer time.
