Update on Life!

Well we have been busy the last couple of weeks:

*Ethan & I went to help Amanda & Coley a couple of weeks ago.  Paige had ear surgery.  We had a great time just hanging out while Paige recovered.  We always love being with them and Ethan cries every time we leave.

*We have been busy at home this week.  Nothing special.  Ethan and I have spent alot of time outside.  He has this pink & purple tricycle that my friend gave me.  (He doesn't mind that it is a girls bike.) He rides it in the backyard and pretends it's a car.

Funny story....  Every time I go to the bathroom, I say " Mommy is a big girl, she is pee-peeing on the potty."  So he will go potty every so often and say " Yeah!  I'm a big girl."  I said "NO, you are a big BOY. "  he argues again that he is a BIG GIRL.  This could go on for hours.  So, I finally give up and just let him say he is a big girl.  I hope one day that will change!!!!

So our life is not very exciting right now!  I am going on a girls weekend this weekend.  I will get some pics and post next week!  God Bless!

Have I ever told you...

Have I ever told you what a great husband I have.  John had a birthday on the 7th.  I took him to go see Star Trek and have dinner.  We had so much fun together.

He also found out last week that he received a GEM award at the hospital.  One of his employees nominated him for always working so hard.  He received a night in a bed and breakfast in Fredericksburg!  Yes!  

I am so proud of who he is and how hard he works.  He is constantly going above and beyond for others.  I am so blessed to have a husband that loves his family and  is such a great provider.  

Swimmin'

Ethan and I worked outside yesterday morning.  We were both sweating like pigs ( that's coley's saying).  I knew it was going to be hot so I pulled out the swimming pool we had last year and filled it up.  I thought we would let the water warm up some and go swim after nap.  Ethan had other plans.... he jumped in clothes and all.  I didn't blame him and I felt like doing the same.   He has also learned how to pee outside, which he thinks is just the coolest thing ever.  

Great Weekend!

We had a great week and weekend last week.  Our friend Karl was getting married, so mom came down early to help with wedding stuff.  We were able to go have a quiet lunch and shop some. We also had some friends over on Thursday for brunch.  Tanner, Jessica, and Dad came down Friday. We helped out with the Rehearsal Dinner in Buffalo Gap, then that night I woke up with the stomach bug.....  Yes  again.........  I felt much better on Saturday and was blessed to be able to attend Karl's wedding.  We had a great time together with our friends and family.

Meme & Pepper's

Ethan and I spent most of last week with Meme & Pepper(aka Billy & Lou).  My parents have bought a beautiful home (in Decatur) and we helped them move in.  We had a great time just being together!  The first night we got there Pepper said he would take us to dinner, so we went to my favorite place PF Changs.  Well I think it is Ethan's favorite too.  He ate more there than I have ever seen him eat.  We laughed so hard because he was trying to eat with chop sticks...and doing a much better job than I could.  We also spent some time at the arena (my dads work).  Ethan got to see and pet horses.  I am so blessed to have awesome parents and I am so excited they have a home to call their own!!
